The historic Nannette Streicher fortepiano, dating back to 1819, holds great significance in the musical past of Korčula. Originally owned by the Boschi family, it became a centerpiece of social life in Korčula after being transported from Vienna. Named after Nannette Streicher Stein, daughter of the renowned Viennese instrument builder Stein, the fortepiano symbolizes the influence and support given to Beethoven by the Streicher family. Today, the fortepiano is preserved in the Korčula City Museum, accompanied by a collection of sheet music played by Ivan Boschi, an influential figure in the city's musical scene. This rare instrument, considered a cultural heritage, holds immense value locally, nationally, and internationally, as one of the few surviving examples from the early 19th century.
