Korcula Island was home to two Greek colonies and is home to indigenous grapevine “GRK”. Greeks named Korcula after the Island of Corfu in Greece however, to make distinction they nicknamed it “Dark Corfu” due to the wealth of forests of oak and pine trees. Olive trees have grown here for more than history remembers and are very important for the local economy. Hiking through old footpaths will relax anybody who looks to get away from the stress of modern life. Views of Korcula are simply magnificent, from wherever we look.
